Nonnina’s, a Love Letter to Grandmas and Great Italian Cooking

This fall, the Hudson Valley welcomes Nonnina’s, a new Italian restaurant and bar from hospitality veterans Brendan McAlpine and Marjorie Tarter — the team behind The Bird & Bottle Inn, Wonderbar, and Coopers Beacon. Named for the Italian word for “little grandma,” or great-grandma, Nonnina’s is a heartfelt celebration of family, tradition, and timeless Italian cooking.

Helmed by Chef Ralph Bello (Il Barilotto Enoteca, Primo Waterfront), the menu features handmade fresh pastas, Roman-style pinsas, and creative spritzes and cocktails from Wonderbar’s Conner Mercado, winner of Best Craft Cocktails & Mocktails in the Hudson Valley. Designed in partnership with Keely Sheehan Design, the space combines vintage charm and modern warmth.

Nonnina’s will be open Wednesday through Sunday for dinner in the village of Wappingers Falls, NY.
